Therapeutic Journeys to Self-Realisation – blog 19

Why do this Therapeutic Journey to Self-Realisation?

We have detached ourselves from ego-based pursuits – now we have completed the previous exercise?

Yeah right!

There will always be a residual impetus to chase desires, hope and aspirations, as well as, maintain attachments and “collecting”. If you talk to some who have been clean and sober for innumerable years, they may well say “I am in recovery. As I am still an addict/alcoholic”. The memory banks still work to embed past perspectives, even though we may have moved on, even to another plane of existence.

The underlying issue seems to be attachments, even if we have let go of so much baggage.

Some finishing processes are needed to complete our Journeys. To transcend our attachments. Do this by discovering what your focus is meant to be now be if you have reached the “plateau” of Self-Realisation. (As per previous exercise)

Questions should arise. What do I do now then? What’s my real task in life? What’s my service? What’s my true role/identity?  We will seek to answer these questions with the next exercise.

First we check what our attachments are, in relation to the advanced stages of our Journey.

Attachments

Unfortunately attachments will remain in the soul memory and affect future passage onward, even after death. This will be especially so if predominant negative thoughts remain to the time of death. Some type of obsession, addiction, or just plain old lust, may have a regressive effect regarding entry to the next realm after death. Fortunately the power of the Therapeutic Journey and/or faith will cut through the bonds in this life, even if it seems there is some delay – as these things take time. Be patient with the short trial which occurs while practicing, and allow the Journey to pick up success in its own time. Here may be the time to take up a new identity and again the Inner Deity/Guide or your Ω practice will facilitate that. (Ω practice is based on your Omega identity, which we address in the next exercise). A “not my will” decision is needed. Surrender to your choice of deity/inner power, and allow what you can’t control or overcome to be cleared away. We will do an exercise to use when you are next sitting on your special place. (E.g. Here we are thinking of the mountain top plateau that we attained in the previous exercise).

The last dominant thought is very important, and if we are firm in our spiritual or self-development practices, then we will remember what we need to – at death. Here even if you think you are such a sinner or bad person, invoke your chosen image/mantra/word etc. at the point of death. The emissaries of darkness will be held back. (This invocation practice will be the subject of another exercise – the final one).

There seems to be some confusion, or very different ideas about the timeline of post body experience, as per various religions, and within “holy books”. Here take only what you need for your sanity! What makes sense, and seems productive. The writings of those who are Realised are important though, as they have had this experience, (in meditative states), and can advise accordingly.

What if we continue to choose to deny our own inner powers, or our Ω, which we are equating with the equivalent of what may be called Divinity? Then we are denying the divine in all. (The essential Oneness in Consciousness). We remain a human who wants God to fix us, or some other “divinity version” to do so. (The Incarnation, the Guru, the Buddha, the Jesus). We want to be fixed and stay human, so that we don’t have to take on the enormous responsibility incurred when we fully surrender to Truth, and sit in our Self-Realisation position.

Also most religions will not give you permission! (To be Free).

To embody yourself in your true identity is heretic, and certainly you are not given permission, by most of society, to be “allowed” to realize your specially uniqueness that is supra-human. (Supra-human: “Having powers above and beyond those of a normal human”). Then it becomes required that you remain in fear. Fear because of separation, where there are many, and there is no Unity. When we are one with the Cosmic Being or Consciousness we become fearless. In fearlessness we lose our anxiety, sadness and our obsessions!

Accepting one’s Inner Power is part of the journey, alongside accessing the Inner Deity. (They go together). This is not to denigrate religions or philosophies of duality, as I accept all possibilities– including a non-dual approach, or a devotional one. Religion may however want to us to bow down before their gods, higher powers, saviors and avatars. (And no others!). Never-the-less, I have found benefit in many religions whilst on my Journey, and I believe that religion holds resources to be respected.

N.B.: Ω as used here is explained in blog 1
